In January 2011 Sébastien Bergeron & Justine Montmarché met Malian box camera photographer Issa Samado in the town of Mopti. At the time the couple were travelling for three months between Morocco, Mauritania and Mali with the mobile photography school Atelier Nomade. Returning home to France from the trip Sébastien built his own camera based on Issa's model which both he and Justine use. Both professional photographers, Sébastien & Justine also teach photography to primary school children in France.
